Cancellation Policy

VyaCabs – Strict Cancellation & No-Show Policy (Updated Version)
To ensure fairness and smooth operations, all customers must follow the cancellation rules below. Charges apply automatically once the free window has passed.


1. Free Cancellation (Up to 4 Hours Before Pickup)
You may cancel your ride for free if you cancel at least 4 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
Example:
Pickup at 9:00 AM → Last free cancellation at 5:00 AM
No other exceptions apply.


2. Standard Cancellation (4 Hours to 1 Hour Before Pickup)
If you cancel your ride between 4 hours and 1 hour before the pickup time, a 40% cancellation charge of the estimated fare will apply.
This fee is compulsory regardless of reason.


3. Late Cancellation (Within 1 Hour of Pickup)
Cancellations made within 1 hour of the scheduled pickup time will incur a 75% cancellation charge of the estimated fare.
This applies because the driver is already prepared or en route.


4. Driver Assignment / En Route Rules
Once a driver is assigned, the following strict charges apply:
Canceled after driver assignment → 30% charge
Canceled after driver starts moving → 60% charge
Canceled when driver arrives at the pickup point → 85% charge


5. No-Show Policy
A No-Show occurs if:
You are not at the pickup point within 10 minutes of driver arrival
You do not answer calls/messages
You cancel after the driver has arrived and waited
Penalty:100% of the fare will be charged. No refund.
Repeated No-Shows may lead to account suspension or permanent ban.


6. Multiple Cancellation Penalties
To prevent misuse:
3 cancellations in 7 days → Temporary account limitation
5 cancellations in 30 days → Account suspension
Excessive cancellations → Permanent deactivation


7. Refund Processing
Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days
Refunded to the original payment method only
Cancellation and No-Show charges are non-refundable


8. Wrong Location or Incorrect Booking
If the client enters the wrong pickup location and the driver reaches there:
Updated location must be provided within 5 minutes
Additional distance charges may apply
Failure to update → Ride marked as No-Show (100% fare charged)


9. Peak-Hour Cancellation Rules
During peak hours, festive seasons, or high-demand events:
Standard and Late cancellation charges may increase by 10–25%
The app will display the updated applicable fees at booking


10. How to Cancel
Cancellations must be made only through the VyaCabs App under the Booking Dashboard.
Cancellations through phone or chat will not be considered valid unless confirmed in-app.


11. Company Rights
VyaCabs reserves the right to:
Modify cancellation fees
Suspend users violating the policy
Deny refunds for misuse or false claims
Permanently block accounts involved in repeated abuse
